CELTIC ROCK BAND FATHOM ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF NEW RECORD!

"Celtic Rocks" to be released on March 17, 2005 (St. Patrick's Day)

(New York, NY) -- March 7, 2005 -- NY's Most Insane Celtic Rock Band FATHOM has announced the March 17, 2005 release date of their upcoming third album entitled "Celtic Rocks" in an internet press conference earlier today.
"Celtic Rocks" is a fourteen-song collection of both original and traditional Irish instrumentals with Fathom's signature and technically intricate, hard rock Celtic sound. The fourteen track album was self-produced entirely by the band and recorded over a one year period. Uilleann Piper Danny McLaughlin also makes a return guest appearance to Fathom, lending his talents to several tracks.
Gracing the cover of the album is fantasy artwork by famed artist Ken Kelly, who is known for his world-renowned album covers of "Destroyer" and "Love Gun" for Kiss, "Rainbow Rising" for Rainbow, and album covers for Manowar. The cover depicts a Celtic Warrior on horseback striking down upon his adversaries with a giant mandolin: an appropriate visual to compliment the warlike, frenzied sound of this new record.
The release of "Celtic Rocks" coincides with an aggressive tour schedule and marketing campaign involving a multitude of concert, radio and parade appearances. Fathom will also host and perform an intimate CD release party on Saturday, March 19, 2005 in their hometown at O'Reilly's Pub located in Oakdale, NY. Complete details of this event and other scheduled concerts are listed on The Official Website of Fathom at http://www.fathom.tv

NEW CD MARCH 17th 2005!!

Thats right!
One year after the January 2004 release "Pollution Blues", Fathom is currently recording their third collection of songs. The new CD will once again be a full length production of about 10 to 15 songs. The highlight of this new album will be the fact that it will be the first with now ex-Fathom member, Irish piper Danny McLaughlin. The band is excited to release a title that includes Danny as he joined the band shortly after their second release. No title has been released yet, but the band has revealed that this new CD will feature more traditional Celtic music than ever before, with a majority of the songs being instrumental compostions. AND wait until you see the artwork.
Stay tuned for more details...

In addition to the upcoming release, Fathom recently unveiled a lost demo-album called "First Fathom" from their early days when the band lived in a different and more "rock-oriented" incarnation. This 5 song internet release is now available for MP3 download only through the merchandise section.
